Artisans who cloned Ambode's line to defraud state of N50 million remanded in Kirikiri.

Two artisans who cloned Governor Ambode's mobile phone line and tried to defraud the state by requesting for a transfer of N50 million were today arraigned by the DSS.


The Lagos Monitoring group tweeted details:

Today, the DSS arraigned two artisans before an Isolo Magistrate Court for allegedly cloning the mobile line of Governor @akinwunmiambode

The suspects - Rilwanu Jamiu & Balogun Stanley Oyewole were said to have attempted to perfect a N50M transfer with the said mobile line.

The suspects were arrested after using the cloned line to send a text to the Accountant General of the State requesting for transfer of N50M

The accused persons will be remanded in Kirikiri Prison pending the perfection of the conditions attached to their bail.
